Equity actors for roles in SCROOGE THE MUSICAL (see breakdown).

All roles will be understudied.

No stage managerial positions are available.

PERFORMERS OF ALL ETHNICITIES, PHYSICAL TYPES, GENDER IDENTITIES, AND AGES ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND.

PREPARATION

Please prepare a short song in the style of the show. Singing from the show is fine. Please bring a picture and resume, stapled together.

BREAKDOWN

Seeking:

Ebenezer Scrooge: Late 40’s – 60 The ultimate miser, bitter, misanthropic, but capable of a miraculous transformation into a man of good cheer. Good singer who can handle comedy.

Bob Cratchit: 30’s, Scrooge’s clerk, warm, loving, family man with a large heart. Good singer.

Jacob Marley: 40’s-50’s Scrooge’s deceased business partner – much the same character as Scrooge.

Young Ebenezer: 20’s, A younger version of Scrooge before he became bitter; hopeful, friendly, full of fun, good singer who moves well.

Fred: Late 20’s, Scrooge’s nephew, very much like Young Ebenezer, good singer.

Fezziwig: 40’s Comic character man, merry, full of life, warm, traditionally a bit rotund, good singer who moves very well.

Isabel: 20’s – 30’s beautiful young leading lady, sweet, optimistic, poor and content to be so. Very good soprano who moves well.

Ghost of Christmas: Past 20’s, pretty young woman who seems wise beyond her years, kindhearted.

Ghost of Christmas Present: 30’s-40’s Larger than life character man, fun-loving, commanding, with a kind spirit. Good singer who moves well.

Tom Jenkins: Late 20’s-30’s, Street merchant, energetic, friendly, clever, very good singer and dancer. Mrs. Fezziwig, Mrs. Cratchit, Mrs. Dilber, Shopkeepers, Etc.
