Equity actors for understudy roles in the Broadway production of PICTURES FROM HOME.
LARRY SULTAN (U/S) - 40s to 50s. Rigorous, obsessive, probing, kind. Though LARRY is as young as late 30s during some of the time period depicted, he can be older revisiting these moments in his life. Determined to dig beneath the facade of the American Family using his own family as proxy.
IRVING SULTAN, LARRY’S FATHER (U/S) - Late 60s to Early 70s. An ex Schick razor blade salesman, Irv is a man of contradictions: moody, impatient and intense, yet capable of profound introspection, and a deep devotion to his family. Especially his depiction of his family.
JEAN SULTAN, LARRY’S MOTHER (U/S) - Late 60s to Early 70s. Stylish, sharp-witted, often on guard over Irv's moods, yet perfectly willing to face him down when push comes to shove. Often discounted as playing support to Irv, Jean is actually the backbone — financially and emotionally — of the Sultan family.
