INSTRUCTIONS

Please prepare a selection in the style of the show and character you wish to audition for OR prepare one of the audition cuts from Skid Row with accompaniment available at www.ozarkactorstheatre.org/auditions. Please submit your auditions with a headshot, resume and a musical theatre or acting reel at www.ozarkactorstheatre.org/auditions by MAY 1st.

BREAKDOWN

Seymour Krelborn - An insecure, put-upon florist's clerk and eventual hero. He is a genuine, well-meaning man who is taken for granted because of his clumsy ways and poor social skills.

Audrey - This role has been cast.

Voice of The Plant - A female voice located offstage. The voice is that of a conniving, street-smart 'villain.' Seductive rhythm and Blues vocals.

Chiffon - A street urchin, acting as the occasional Greek Chorus. Grounded, street smart and wise. These girls are the only ones who have a grip on reality.

Crystal - A street urchin, acting as the occasional Greek Chorus. Grounded, street smart and wise. These girls are the only ones who have a grip on reality.

Ronnette - A street urchin, acting as the occasional Greek Chorus. Grounded, street smart and wise. These girls are the only ones who have a grip on reality.

Orin Scrivello - An egotistical dentist with a passion for leather and sadistic tendencies. Audrey's abusive boyfriend, who is targeted by Seymour. A dark sense of humor. Hilarious, intense, and frightening.

Mr. Mushnik - The seasoned owner of the failing East Side flower shop and Seymour's nosy boss. He is profit-driven, greedy, and manipulative.
