INSTRUCTIONS


Please perform one monologue OR two contrasting monologues – up to 3 minutes total. Feel free to begin with your monologue(s); no introductions are necessary. Please upload your video to YouTube, Vimeo, Dropbox, or other third-party platform; do not send your audition video as a file attachment. Please email the link to your audition video along with a current picture/resume with “EPAs 2022/23” in the subject line.

HENRY CARR: CAST. British diplomat. Male, alternately 35 and 65 years old.

JAMES JOYCE: CAST. Irish writer. Male, about 30 years old.

TRISTAN TZARA: CAST. Romanian Artist. Male, 20s.

CECILY: CAST. A librarian. Female, early 20s.

GWENDOLYN: CAST. Niece to Henry Carr. Female, 20s.

VLADIMIR LENIN: CAST. Russian political theorist. Male, Mid 40s.

NADYA LENIN: CAST. Wife of Vladimir. Mid 40s.

BENNETT: CAST. Butler to Henry Carr. Male, Mid 40s.

THE ROYALE, by Marco Ramirez

The roles of FISH and MAX are cast. Actors will be considered as possible replacements, should any become necessary.

SEEKING:

JAY: The Heavyweight Champion. Male, Black, late 20s/early 30s.

WYNTON: Jay's trainer. Male, Black, 50s.

NINA: Jay's fierce big sister. Female, Black.

FISH: CAST. An amateur boxer.

MAX: CAST. A fight promoter and referee. White, 40s.

THE LIFESPAN OF A FACT, by Jeremy Kareken, David Murrell, and Gordon Farrell

The role of JOHN D'AGATA is cast. Actors will be considered as possible replacements, should any become necessary.

SEEKING:

EMILY PENROSE: Editor-in-Chief of a high-profile magazine. Female, late 40s to late 50s.

JOHN D'AGATA: CAST. An essayist. Male, 40s-60s.

JIM FINGAL: A fact-checker for the magazine. Male, mid-20s.

TWELFTH NIGHT, by William Shakespeare

SEEKING:

VIOLA: A young woman of Illyria. Female, 20s. She disguises herself as a young man called Cesario and goes to work for Orsino.

OLIVIA: A wealthy heiress in Illyria. Female, 20s-30s.

ORSINO: The duke and the governor of Illyria. Male, 20s-40s.

SIR TOBY BELCH: A relative of Olivia's, often drunk and mischievous.

MALVOLIO: Olivia's steward.

SIR ANDREW: A wealthy friend of Sir Toby.

MARIA: Olivia's maid.

FESTE: Olivia's jester.

SEBASTIAN: Viola's twin brother. Male, 20s.

ANTONIO: A sea captain.
