[ANGELS] male, 20s – 30s, any ethnicity. These are the drag performers who populate THE BLUE ANGEL NIGHTCLUB. Versatile, but also terrific dancers, singers and actors. This ain’t a job for no wallflowers. Tumbling, acro and tricks are a plus. Will be required to dance in heels. Strong pop tenors.

[PAT] female, 40s, any ethnicity. Officious office manager who will let loose her wild side when allowed. Lola’s love interest. Strong pop singer, belter.

[TRISH] female, 40s, any ethnicity. Factory worker with a husband and kids to worry over. Strong pop singer, belter.

[MISTER PRICE] male, 40s-50s, any ethnicity. Charlie’s father and owner of the shoe factory in the opening and closing sequences. Doubles as a pub patron, factory worker, etc for the rest of the show. Strong pop singer.

[SIMON SR] male, 40s-50s, Black. Lola’s father. An unforgiving tower of anger. He works in the opening, and two scenes in act two. Doubles as a homeless man, a factory worker, etc. Strong pop singer, baritone (Bb2-F4)

[HARRY] male, 20s – 30s, any ethnicity. A contemporary of Charlie’s but his opposite. Harry is successful, self aware and confident. Doubles as a delivery man, factory worker, photographer, etc. Strong pop singer, tenor.

[RICHARD BAILEY] male, 40s, any ethnicity. Nicola’s boss. An overtly attractive and successful man. A real threat to Charlie. One of the hooligans, factory workers, etc. Strong pop singer, tenor.

[MALE ENSEMBLE/SWINGS] male, 20s – 40s, any ethnicities. To appear in the ensemble and play various roles (hooligans, pub patrons, club patrons, referee, Milan stage manager, photographers, etc.) and possibly cover principal and featured ensemble roles. All move well and have great pop voices.

[FEMALE ENSEMBLE/SWINGS] female, 20s – 40s, any ethnicities. To appear in the ensemble and play various roles (factory workers, photographers, etc.) and possibly cover principal and featured ensemble roles. All move well and have great pop voices.
