BREAKDOWN

STORYLINE: The most famous love story of all time....Remixed. & JULIET is the hilarious and fun loving hit West End musical that asks: what if Juliet’s famous ending was really just her beginning? What if she decided to choose her own fate? Soaring with pop anthems from the catalogue of Max Martin, including ...Baby One More Time, Everybody (Backstreet's Back), Since U Been Gone and Can’t Feel My Face, & JULIET is a riotous blast of fun and glorious music that proves when it comes to love, there’s always life after Romeo...

SEEKING:

LADY CAPULET/NELL (35 – 50, any ethnicity) Lady Capulet/Nell is stern and controlling as Juliet’s mother, but when she’s in Player mode, she really lets her hair down and has a good time. Will cover principal role(s). Vocal range: sings to a minimum D5 belt.

LORD CAPULET/SLY (35 – 50, any ethnicity) Lord Capulet/Sly is domineering and intense when he’s Juliet’s dad, but cheeky and energetic when he’s one of Shakespeare’s Players. Will cover principal role(s). Vocal range: sings to A4.

LUCY (20 – 35, any ethnicity) Strong singer/dancer. Lucy is a Shakespeare superfan, who loves sharing her intimate knowledge of the Bard with the audience. A ball of energy who isn't afraid to speak her mind and loves any excuse to laugh and smile with her fellow Players. Will cover principal role(s). Vocal range: sings to D5 chest/belt.

RICHARD (20 – 35, any ethnicity) Strong singer/dancer. Richard is Shakespeare's no.1 hype man! What he might lack in intellect and nuance, he definitely makes up for in spirit. Will cover principal role (s). Vocal range: sings to an A4.

GREGORY (20 – 35, any ethnicity) Strong singer/dancer. Will also cover main roles. Gregory is lively and vibrant, and always up for a laugh, but he also demands attention and can be easily offended. Will cover principal role(s). Vocal range: sings to an Ab4.

BENVOLIO/ELEANOR (25 – 40, any ethnicity) Benvolio/Eleanor is Romeo’s best friend and hype man, who always takes Romeo’s side and is a total “bro”... a fun gender-bending role for the Player Eleanor. Will cover principal role(s). Vocal range: G3 - top D5 full belt.

HENRY (20 – 35, any ethnicity) Henry is all smiles as one of Shakespeare’s Players, but he shows a darker, intimidating side when he enters the play as a snotty French bathroom attendant. Will cover principal role(s). Vocal range: G3 - A4.

SUSANNA (20 – 35, any ethnicity) Great stylistic dancer who is comfortable singing to minimum D5. Susanna is like the little sister of the Players—supportive and good-natured, full of laughter and always up for a good time! Vocal range: Belt to minimum D5.

AUGUSTINE (20 – 35, any ethnicity) Augustine is always flipping around on stage when he’s out greeting our audience. The most mischievous of all the Players; if there’s trouble, he’ll be at the center of it. Vocal range: Baritenor or tenor range. Great stylistic dancer who is comfortable singing.

KEMPE (20 – 35, any ethnicity) Fantastic specialty dancer. Helpful if comfortable keeping a tune. Kempe is the happy-go-lucky player who never backs down from a dance-off! Kempe’s impressive moves get the audience fired up at the start of the show. Does not need to be a strong singer but a fab dancer with specialties.

IMOGEN (20 – 35, any ethnicity) Amazing dancer. Helpful if keeps a tune. Imogen is a feisty, passionate member of Shakespeare’s company who loves to dance her socks off, and also shows a debonair side when she enters the play as a French princess. Does not need to be a strong singer but a fab dancer with specialties.
