MARGARET: Romantic, vengeful, great fighter, leader, ferocious, self-dramatizing. WARWICK/ As cast: Politician, weaselly, smart.

SALISBURY/ As cast: Older, wise politician but opportunistic and chooses poorly.

GLOUCESTER/ EDWARD/ As cast: GLOUCESTER: Capable leader, ethical, powerful.

EDWARD: conniving, slippery.

CARDINAL/ OLD CLIFFORD/ FATHER/ As cast: CARDINAL: Old, corrupt, scheming.

CLIFFORD: career military, upstanding. FATHER: grief-stricken and emotional

TALBOT/ CADE/ As cast: TALBOT: valiant, chivalric, hero, powerful, great fighter.

CADE: Anarchic and wild, a revolutionary.
