Seeking:

Margie

Irish Catholic from South Boston. About 50 years old. Working class. Has not had an easy life. She is scrappy, resourceful, cunning, but not mean-spirited or cruel. Her life has worn down her once cute and sparkling demeanor. Loyal to her friends, family and obligations. She still believes ones history with others should count for something.

Mike

Irish Catholic formerly from South Boston. About 50 years old. He is now a successful doctor with money, respect and stability. He looks good for his age and takes care of himself. He has an educated, gentile, and somewhat yuppie-ish demeanor, but can still find his inner Southie when push comes to shove. His past does not influence his present.

Dottie

Southie Boston denizen of 60-70 years old. Daffy, fun-loving - she couldnt care less what anyone else thinks. Outspoken - tells it like it is. Old school Southie - not frail at all.

Stevie

In his late 20s. From South Boston. Wants better for himself but will probably just get stuck there. Trying to be more grown up and sophisticated than he is. A medium fish with a tiny bit of power. A good guy at heart, just trying to get by like everyone else.

Kate

African American, 30s. Well spoken, well educated, sweet, smart and kind. Grew up in affluent Georgetown, DC. Is aware of her privilege and is self-consciously casual about it. Strong, self-possessed, attractive, gracious.
