Seeking (all roles are available):
Jackie Martinez:
Seeking actor 18+ (or emancipated teen) to play a 15-year-old girl. Jackie is Mexican American. A tomboy. A virgin. “Out” to her friends, but not to her parents. Shy, observant and sexually curious. A bad liar. Close to her mother. An old soul.
Penelope Lopez:
Seeking actor 18+ (or emancipated teen) to play a 16-year-old girl. Penelope is Mexican American. Jackie’s best friend. Feisty, daddy’s princess, a schemer. Invested in her looks and being sexy. Always gets herself and Jackie into trouble. Has just begun having sex with her pot-dealing boyfriend.
Alejandro Lopez:
Mexican, 38. Penelope’s overprotective father. Handsome bartender. Bisexual. Cares about his appearance. Caring and attentive father. Chooses to keep his private sex life out of the home. He is not exactly closeted, but neither is he openly sharing his identity, especially with his daughter. Loves to cook and garden.
Sonia Martinez:
Mexican American. Just turned 40. Jackie’s mother. Blunt, yet possesses an elegance and grace of sorts. She’s also anxious and depressed. Has a dark sense of humor. A deep thinker, often philosophical. At a turning point in her life and in her unhappy marriage.
Ricardo Martinez:
45. Born in Mexico, grew up in New York City. Jackie’s father and Sonia's husband. Very successful lawyer; works all the time. Distant and seemingly preoccupied, somewhat inattentive to his wife and daughter. Has recently begun to experiment with his sexuality.
