Kickshaw Theatre, Ann Arbor's pop-up professional theatre, is pleased to announce their 2017-18 season. With two full productions, a musical revue fundraiser, and staged readings, this season will be Kickshaw's most ambitious since the company's founding in 2015. "We've been encouraged by the positive audience response to our productions, and the growth of our organization" says Executive Director Jane Griffith. "This season will showcase our commitment to producing high-quality professional theatre with stories that beg to be told live!"

Or, takes place (mostly) during one night in the life of Aphra Behn, poet, spy, and soon to be first professional female playwright. Against a background of a long drawn-out war and a counter-culture of free love, cross-dressing, and pastoral lyricism, the 1660s look a lot like the 1960s in this neo-Restoration comedy.

trustArt Studios, 7885 Jackson Rd suite 1, Ann Arbor, MI 48103

Over the course of 30 years, the lives of Kayleen and Doug intersect at the most bizarre intervals, leading the two childhood friends to compare scars and the physical calamities that keep drawing them together.

General Auditions for the season are scheduled for October 4 and 6, 2017. More information is available at kickshawtheatre.org.
