Photo Flash: First Look at The BiTSY Stage's SADKO'S SONG: A RUSSIAN TALE

By:

The BiTSY Stage presents "Sadko's Song: A Russian Tale" now through December 18 at 1137 S. Huron St. Denver, CO 80223. BroadwayWorld has a first look at the cast in action below!

"Sadko's Song: A Russian Tale," rich in music and lore, is a gentle reminder to be true to ourselves for the rewards in life are fleeting and we must not forget to celebrate the gifts we have been given. This tale celebrates music and love both on land and under the water.

Director Samantha McDermott has cast Kaitlyn Althoff, Karin Carr, Matthew Davis, Luca Grieman, Michael Gurshtein, Eric James, Patti Murtha and Michael Vasicek.

As part of our production of Sadko's Song, The BiTSY offers a 2-hour workshop exploring our unique style of play building. Students of all experience-levels in 4th-7th grades are invited to work alongside professional actors, directors, playwrights, and designers for a fun-filled, fast-paced evening where we will play with what it's like to adapt an existing story for the theater. Participants in this workshop will be invited to watch a performance that weekend and participate in a special question and answer session afterward. The workshop will run Wednesday, December 7 from 5:30pm-7:30pm. Cost is $25 per student with scholarships available based on need. For more information or to register for this creative opportunity, please contact patti@bitsystage.com.

"Sadko's Song: A Russian Tale" is the fourth adaptation of international folktales presented by The Bitsy Stage in 2016. The first, "The Stonemason's Wish: A Chinese Tale," opened in March followed by "The Stone Coat Woman: An Iroquois Tale" in May and "The Fortune Teller's Fortune: A Tale from Nicaragua" in September.

Performances are Saturdays at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. and Sundays at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. No performances November 26 and 27. All performances are FREE, donations are accepted. Reservations are required by email: patti@BitsyStage.com or by calling 720-328-5294. More info at www.bitsystage.com.
