ZviDance is a New York-based contemporary dance company led by artistic director and choreographer Zvi Gotheiner. The company creates and tours repertory works including THE ART OF FUGUE, DETOUR and DABKE, and its site carries sections for performances and events, repertory, press and support. Alongside the company's performance work, Zvi Gotheiner teaches ballet classes three times a week, currently held online via Zoom on a sliding scale of $10-$20 with a class mailing list for reminders. His teaching method was developed from many years of study under Maggie Black and combines different traditions of ballet with an emphasis on placement and movement efficiency, an approach he describes as respectful of the human body and of each individual dancer's particular needs and abilities.
