About this studio
Third Eye Dancers is a non-profit organization founded in Georgia that uses dance to educate young people about social issues. Its focus is Bharatanatyam, one of India's oldest classical dance forms, which it teaches and performs as a medium for communicating about critical issues affecting children such as education and health. The organization runs workshops and public performances designed both to deepen appreciation and understanding of the art form and to engage young audiences with societal topics, and it works with local communities on collaborative projects. It is a donation-supported non-profit rather than a conventional commercial studio, and its published activities center on classes, workshops, events and outreach performances rather than a graded year-round class schedule.
