About this studio
Academy Ballroom Atlanta, also known as the Dance Training Center of the South, is a ballroom and Latin dance studio at 800 Miami Circle NE in the Buckhead district of Atlanta. The facility holds three professional dance floors across more than 10,000 square feet, and lessons are taught by a staff led by owner and world champion instructor Eddie Ares, with the team citing over 40 years of combined experience. The studio caters to complete beginners through competitive dancers, offering private one-to-one lessons, group classes, wedding first-dance programs, and world-class coaching sessions. Social and public dance parties, spotlight performances, dinner dances, dance vacations and competition entries round out the program, and an in-house boutique sells shoes, practice wear and custom gowns. Introductory packages of four lessons are advertised with no contracts, and studio space is available for rental.
