About this studio
Atlanta Ballet is a professional ballet company in Atlanta, Georgia, performing a repertory of full-length classics and contemporary work at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center, with recent seasons including Swan Lake, Cinderella, The Nutcracker and The Great Gatsby. Its teaching arm, the Atlanta Ballet Center for Dance Education, was founded in 1996 by former artistic director John McFall and is open to students of any age or experience level. The Center runs studios in West Midtown at the Michael C. Carlos Dance Center, in Buckhead and in Virginia-Highland, with a fall term beginning in August. Programs include Creative Movement for ages 2-7, the Student Division for ages 7 and up, the audition-based Academy, the pre-professional Atlanta Ballet 2, adult dance classes and socials for ages 18 and over, summer dance programs and summer intensives, and community engagement work.
