About this studio
Smartt Steps is a children's dance studio at 225 Molly Walton Drive, Suites C and D, in Hendersonville, Tennessee, and has taught in Sumner County for more than two decades. Owners Marye and Jason run it on a dual footing: a recreational program built around confidence and community, and a competitive program with a structured scope and sequence of technique training. Recreational classes start with preschool combos for ages 3 to 5 and 4 to 6 mixing ballet, jazz and tap, plus preschool hip hop and acro, then run in age bands from 6-8 through 13-plus covering ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop, acro, technique, and pre-pointe and pointe by approval.
