About this studio
Backstage Dance Company is a competitive and recreational dance studio in Knoxville, Tennessee, serving Knoxville and surrounding East Tennessee under artistic director Talia Childers. It offers comprehensive programs for both aspiring professionals and students who dance for fun, with instruction from beginner to advanced levels in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, musical theatre, hip hop and acro, plus combo classes and a Terrific Two's class for the youngest dancers. Program tracks include recreational children and teen classes, the IGNITE program, BDC Performance Teams for students wanting more stage time, BDC Babies and Pre-Company, and the Releve' Elite Company, a pre-professional competitive training program. The studio has been running since around 2006 and also offers birthday parties, studio rental, an in-house boutique and free trial classes.
