About this studio
The Mid Shore Dance Academy is a dance school on Maryland's Eastern Shore with studios in Easton (8221 Teal Drive) and Centreville (2472K Centreville Rd), directed by owner Shari Smigo. Its First Steps program takes toddlers through first grade with pre-ballet basics, creative movement and coordination work, while the Upper School serves first grade and above with a levelled curriculum in ballet, tap, jazz and contemporary. Adult ballet is taught at the Easton location, and the academy partners with Dancing On The Shore for couples, social and ballroom dance. Summer offerings include half- and full-day camps plus evening sessions. The school serves both recreational students and those preparing for dance careers, and its dance company has performed at Carnegie Hall.
