About this studio
Michigan Ballet Academy is a classical ballet school at 1595 Galbraith Ave SE in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Its mission is to provide world-class ballet training through a codified curriculum taught by professionally trained faculty, and its pedagogy combines the rigor of the Russian school, the lyricism of the French school and the athleticism of the Italian school, drawing students from across West Michigan. Alongside its structured levels, MBA teaches children from age 3 with a Creative Movement program and a Pre-Ballet program for ages 5 to 8 that links movement with academic concepts. Students take part in two evening-length productions each year; the Nutcracker draws more than 2,000 attendees and spring productions have included Cinderella and Coppelia.
