Grand Rapids Ballet Company

Grand Rapids Ballet is Michigan's only professional classical ballet company, based at 341 Ellsworth Avenue SW in Grand Rapids and performing at the Peter Martin Wege Theatre and DeVos Performance Hall. Its 2026-27 season includes Broken Wings, a Frida Kahlo ballet by Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, the annual Nutcracker, Ben Stevenson's Alice in Wonderland, Jumpstart, and Jerome Robbins' Fancy Free. Grand Rapids Ballet School is the company's educational branch, offering ballet training for students aged 3 to 19 through a Primary Division and Young Dancer Program, plus a Junior Company, a Trainee Program, adult classes and Adaptive Dance. The school emphasises individual attention, mentorship, live piano accompaniment and choreographic and performance opportunities including a Spring Showcase. Summer offerings include ballet intensives, adult intensives and dance camps at both downtown and Ada locations. The organization also runs school outreach and a free Moving with Parkinson's program in partnership with the Parkinson's Association of West Michigan.
