Encore Dance Studio Inc

Encore Studio of Dance, Tumbling, Music and Theatre is a performing arts school at 1999 Hickory Avenue in River Ridge, serving the Greater New Orleans area including Metairie, Harahan and Kenner, with a history the studio puts at about twenty years. It deliberately runs a non-competitive, low-stress program, offering recreational dance classes in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop and street jazz and jazz/contemporary, alongside tumbling, musical theatre and acting, and piano and voice lessons taught by university-trained instructors. Classes cover all ages and abilities, from a Broadway Baby introductory class upward. Studios have floating dance floors. The year-end concert is short and low-cost, with the studio saying it prioritises training over costumes, trophies and ad sales, and students are also encouraged to audition for productions at Rivertown Theaters. Broadway master classes and musical theatre summer camps are offered, and new students can book a trial class.
