About this studio
East Bay Dance Center is a non-profit 501(c)(3) dance school at 1318 Glenfield Avenue in Oakland, California. Its mission is to expose students to dance as a performance art through training and public performances, so students gain confidence and life skills while the performances enrich the wider community. Classes are grouped by age and track: pre-school, child and pre-teen, teen recreational, teen performance and adult, covering jazz, ballet, tap, hip hop and acrobatics/tumbling. The center runs after-school programs with school-site pickup, seasonal camps, birthday parties and free community events including a long-running annual Halloween show, a Winter's Ball and a Nutcracker Tea Party, plus an annual recital. Trial classes are available.
