Bainbridge Ballet

Bainbridge Ballet was founded in 2003 by Sara Cramer at 9720 Coppertop Loop NE on Bainbridge Island, Washington, with the stated goal of making quality dance education accessible to anyone who wishes to learn. It teaches ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, musical theatre, acro and contemporary for ages 3 through adult, running a September to June season with rolling enrollment until February. Ballet progresses from Pre-Ballet at age 3 through levelled A, B and C classes to Pointe A, B and C, which require a strength test and placement session plus concurrent technique classes, and Variations for classical repertoire. Combination Ballet/Tap and Tap/Jazz classes serve ages 4 to 7, with noise-cancelling headphones welcomed for students with sensory sensitivity. Lyrical is aimed at ages 11 and up, contemporary at 13 and up, and Musical Theatre II is for adults 17 and up. Mini-Acro and Acro A cover ages 3 to 10, and a drop-in Stretch and Conditioning class is open to adults and non-dancers. There is an annual auditioned Nutcracker, an all-comers Spring Ballet recital, a competition team and summer programming.
