Amphibian Stage Productions to Open Season with FREUD'S LAST SESSION

Amphibian Stage Productions (Kathleen Culebro, Artistic Director) will open its fourth main stage production of the 2015 season, Freud's Last Session by Mark St. Germain, kicking off a four week run of the play.  John-Michael Marrs will play C.S. Lewis and Michael Corolla will play Sigmund Freud, directed by Rene Moreno.

WaterTower Theatre Announces LORD OF THE FLIES Cast, Creative Team

WaterTower Theatre Producing Artistic Director Terry Martin today announced casting and creative team details for the regional premiere of Lord of the Flies, directed by Kelsey Leigh Ervi. The production, based on the William Golding novel and adapted for the stage by Nigel Williams, will run January 22 - February 14, 2016. Individual tickets to Lord of the Flies will go on sale December 15 at 12 noon and will be available by calling 972-450-6232 or online at www.watertowertheatre.org. Lord of the Flies is sponsored by Atmos Energy and Slalom Consulting.

Undermain Theatre to Present THE NIGHT ALIVE

This fall Undermain returns to the work of Conor McPherson, one of the English language's leading theatrical voices, with the regional premiere of his startling new play in 3200 Main Street in Deep Ellum.  THE NIGHT ALIVE is a touching, harrowing and humorous examination of five disparate people banding together to create a hopeful future while keeping the forces of darkness in their lives at bay. As in Undermain's productions of his earlier plays SHINING CITY and ST. NICHOLAS, Conor McPherson's new play deftly mines the humanity to be found in the most unlikely of situations and has been lauded by critics for its boisterous comedy and aching poetry.          
Rover Dramawerks to Open 16th Season with TOWARDS ZERO

Rover Dramawerks is pleased to open their SWEET 16 Season with the classic Agatha Christie mystery, Towards Zero. Performances will be at Rover's theatre in Plano, located in Ruisseau Village at 221 W. Parker Rd, Suite 580, at the northwest corner of Parker and 75. Performances are October 22 - November 14, 2015, with shows on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 8:00 p.m., plus an additional matinee performance on Saturday, October 31 at 2:00 p.m.

WaterTower Theatre Producing Artistic Director Terry Martin today announced that submissions for the 15th annual Out of the Loop Fringe Festival will be accepted starting October 12, 2015.  Submissions must be received no later than November 13, 2015.  Participants will be notified of their acceptance into the festival by December 14, 2015.

The premiere will open tonight, September 26th, 2015 - curtain time 8:15 with the playwright in attendance. Preview performances will be on Sep. 23rd, 24th and 25th. The production will run through October 17th.

On the other hand, sometimes the best pizza can turn into mediocre leftovers when you microwave it after it's sat around. On stage, sometimes the same can be a true…even the best Broadway shows don't always 'reheat' well on the road.
