LONG DAY'S JOURNEY INTO NIGHT to Play Undermain Theatre

By: Jan. 04, 2016

LONG DAY'S JOURNEY INTO NIGHT is being produced in Dallas for the first time in over two decades at the Undermain Theatre, 3200 Main Street, Deep Ellum. We will offer a rare opportunity to see an ensemble cast in the intimacy of our 90-seat space performing Nobel Prize winning Eugene O'Neill's monumental play, considered by many to be the greatest play of the 20th Century and a centerpiece of modern drama. The Undermain production of Eugene O'Neill's autobiographical masterwork is funded, in part, by a grant from the Jean Baptiste "Tad" Adoue III Fund at The Dallas Foundation and will be directed by Undermain Artistic Director Katherine Owens with scenic design by Undermain company member John Arnone.

LONG DAY'S JOURNEY INTO NIGHT will open on Saturday, February 13th, 2016. All evening performances of this production will have a curtain time of 7:30. Preview performances will be on February 10, 11 and 12. The production will run through March 6th. All preview performances will be $15.

LONG DAY'S JOURNEY INTO NIGHT depicts a day in the life of a theatrical family jolted by destiny and touched by fate at their summer home in Connecticut on one August day in 1912 from morning to midnight. Addiction and the clash of young and old are some of the overriding themes in this autobiographical play.
