Rope, adapted by Jeffrey Hatcher and directed by Melia Bensussen, will make its world premiere at Hartford Stage. The gripping crime thriller explores the aftermath of a murder committed by two young men who host a dinner party in the room where the victim’s body is concealed. As their confidence in pulling off the "perfect crime" wanes, tension mounts, leading to questions of guilt and consequence. This adaptation draws inspiration from the play Rope's End by Patrick Hamilton, illuminating the dark twists of human nature.
