Ensemble Theatre Receives Governor's Award For Arts Education

Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati (ETC) is the proud recipient of the 2019 Governor's Award for Arts Education. The Governor's Awards for the Arts in Ohio is a statewide program showcasing and celebrating Ohio artists, arts organizations, arts patrons, and business support of the arts. The award for Arts Education is given to an individual or organization that has made significant contributions through leadership and creativity to advance arts education in Ohio's schools and community organizations.
#HAM4HAM Lottery Announced In Cincinnati

Producer Jeffrey Seller and Fifth Third Bank Broadway in Cincinnati presented by TriHealth announce a digital lottery for HAMILTON tickets will begin in conjunction with the show's first performance (February 19) in Cincinnati at the Aronoff Center. Forty (40) tickets will be sold for every performance for $10 each. The digital lottery will open at 11:00 AM ET on Sunday, February 17 for tickets to the Tuesday, February 19 performance. Subsequent digital lotteries will begin two days prior to each performance.
Outback Concerts Welcomes Tim Allen June 22

Tim Allen recently wrapped the 6th season of his hit sitcom "Last Man Standing" on ABC. He can currently be seen performing stand-up to sold-out crowds at venues across the country. Allen can next be seen starring in Netflix's new dark comedy film "El Camino Christmas" along with Vincent D'Onofrio, Luke Grimes, Dax Shepard, Kimberly Quinn and Jimmy O. The film is expected to be released later this year around Christmas. He will also be reprising his role as Buzz Lightyear in "Toy Story 4" set for release in 2019.
Bunbury Music Festival 2019 Lineup Announced

One of the country's premier music festivals now celebrating its eighth year, Bunbury will return to downtown Cincinnati's Sawyer Point and Yeatman's Cove, transforming the banks of the Ohio River into a vibrant three-day festival experience May 31-June 2, 2019. Bunbury has received critical acclaim from Billboard, USA Today, Pollstar and Yahoo! Music, and was named among the Top 16 Music Festivals by CNN Travel in 2017.

One Funny Mother Dena Blizzard, the viral video star and off-Broadway comedy sensation, will bring her hit one-woman show to Cincinnati's Music Hall Ballroom on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at 1:00 PM & 7:30 PM. Dena's hilariously relatable collection of stories will make you realize you're not crazy, but motherhood sure is! The show is part of Cincinnati Arts Association's 2018-19 Presenting Season.
FotoFocus Announces William Wegman Lecture at the Cincinnati Art Museum

FotoFocus, the nonprofit arts organization that champions photography and lens-based art, is pleased to announce that internationally acclaimed visual artist William Wegman will take part in the organization's Lecture and Visiting Artist Series. Wegman will present a lecture at the Cincinnati Art Museum on Wednesday, April 17, 2019, at 7PM. The visit comes nearly 40 years after Wegman's celebrated exhibition at Cincinnati's Contemporary Arts Center, Wegman's World, in 1982.

World Premiere Of THE LAST WIDE OPEN Debuts Feb. 9

Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park will present THE LAST WIDE OPEN, a love story that encourages audiences to take a personal, humorous look at modern-day courtship, romance and relationships, just in time for Valentine's Day. It begins Feb. 9 in the Shelterhouse Theatre and runs through March 10, with support from The Rosenthal Family Foundation, Season Sponsor of New Work. Opening night is Feb. 14.

Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra Celebrates 125th Anniversary

The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra (CSO) and Music Director Louis Langree announced details of the much-anticipated 125th Anniversary Season beginning in September at Music Hall. The 2019-20 season welcomes acclaimed guest artists including Renee Fleming, Anne-Sophie Mutter, Artist-in-Residence Guy Braunstein and Grammy winner Isabel Leonard, among others. The season includes performances of Beethoven's legendary Akademie program, a fully staged production of Ravel's opera, L'Enfant et les sortileges, seven CSO commissions, five world premieres, three U.S. premieres, as well as an experimental new concert series titled CSO Proof. The 125th Anniversary Season marks the launch of new initiatives both on and off the stage that build on the CSO's legacy. Leading up to the season, the Orchestra presents CSO Look Around, a first-of-its-kind event celebrating community, diversity, and inclusivity on August 3.

CYRANO Will Bring Romance, Comedy And Sword Fighting To Community Centers This Winter

The Playhouse's family-friendly, Off the Hill series tours its second production of the season this January and February to community centers in Greater Cincinnati with CYRANO, a youth-oriented adaptation that's based on the 1897 classic play Cyrano de Bergerac.
