Leipzig String Quartet was founded in 1988, one of the world's best chamber music combinations are recognized, they recorded works in the past fifteen years, won a five-seat "Echo Klassik" award. "New York Times" commented: "If the voice of Leipzig exist, then they are!"
Leipzig String Quartet composed of four musicians of all the world's oldest graduated from the School of Music - one of the Leipzig Conservatory, three of whom served as chief in the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra. In 2009, the four musicians accepted an invitation maestro Claudio Abbado to join all by leading soloists of "all-star" band - Lucerne Festival Orchestra, every year in the world-renowned Lucerne Festival debut. Close cooperation between the four musicians for 30 years, the understanding of which is self-evident.
German and Austrian works recognized as one of the best interpreter of the Leipzig String Quartet, they almost recorded Beethoven, Schubert and Mendelssohn and other composers of all quartets. They cooperate with the pianist Christian Zacarias (Christian Zacharias) recording of "Trout Quintet" by the French magazine "Music Catalog" (Répertoire) Award for eighteen tracks recorded version in the first place.
