Vape! The Grease Parody is a comedic spoof of the beloved stage and film musical Grease, written by Catie Hogan and Sketchworks Comedy, with lyrics and additional book by Billy Recce and Danny Salles. The production is directed by Jack Plotnick, with choreography by Ashley Marinelli and music supervision by Lena Gabrielle. Originally premiering in Atlanta in 2018, the show won a legal battle over fair use parody rights before making its Off-Broadway debut in New York. The Chicago production at the Apollo Theater marks the show's debut in the city, placing audiences inside a modern-day Rydell High filtered through contemporary pop culture.
