THIS IS OUR YOUTH by Kenneth Lonergan follows 48 hours in the lives of three very lost young souls in the big city: Warren, a strange barking dog of a kid who has just stolen $15,000 dollars from his abusive, tycoon of a father; Dennis, his charismatic but domineering drug-dealing friend who helps him put the money to good use; and Jessica Goldman, the anxiously insightful young woman who Warren yearns for.

Funny, painful, and compassionate, THIS IS OUR YOUTH is a living snapshot of the moment between adolescence and adulthood, when many young people first go out into the world on their own, armed only with the ideas and techniques they developed as teenagers—ideas and techniques far more sophisticated than their parents ever realize, and far less effectual than they themselves can possibly imagine.

Darby McNeill (They/She) is a current senior at the Chicago College of Performing Arts and is so excited to be a part of this cast! Previous roles include The Fantasticks (Henry) at Ruth Eckerd Hall, The Phantom Tollbooth (Dr. Discord) at CCPA, Loki: At the End of the World (Asgardian) at CCPA, and Much Ado About Nothing (Ensemble Guitarist/u/s Balthasar) also at CCPA. She is so grateful to her parents, her brother Joe, Caitlin, and Jake. She'd like to thank director Bryce for believing in her abilities to play Jessica. They hope you enjoy the show!
