Welz Kauffman has been appointed as the Executive Director and CEO of the Old Town School of Folk Music, effective September 30, 2024. Kauffman, formerly the President & CEO of the Ravinia Festival, brings extensive experience in arts leadership and community engagement. Under his guidance, the Old Town School aims to deepen its commitment to music and dance education while expanding its outreach and programming. The Old Town School is recognized as the largest community school of the arts in the U.S., offering a wide array of classes and performances for all ages and backgrounds.
