Halftime High Notes at The Center for Performing Arts at Governors State University

Governors State University’s Center for Performing Arts, 1 University Parkway, is proud to present Halftime High Notes: Honoring the Opera Up Close Legacy with John Concepcion and Friends, Saturday Feb, 7 at 2 p.m.

Get ready for the ultimate mashup of music and football spirit! This isn’t your typical concert—it’s an operatic showdown with all the drama of game day.

The playbook is set for an epic battle: In the first half (AFC), Sopranos take on Mezzo Sopranos to see who can score the vocal touchdown. Then, the Halftime Show brings surprise ensembles and special numbers to keep the energy roaring before intermission. After the break, the second half (NFC) kicks off with Tenors versus Baritones in a clash of powerhouse voices. Finally, the champions of each conference will face off in the Finale, where one ultimate winner will claim the trophy and bask in a confetti-filled celebration!
