The Empty Pockets' often cerebral and sometimes playful indie rock sound is built on a foundation of Americana, Blues, and Motown Soul. An old-school sensibility showcased by multiple lead singers, rich harmonies, and skilled instrumentalists sets rootsy Chicago outfit Empty Pockets apart. Following their success as a Buddy Holly Tribute act, the foursome began an expedition to stomp on the floorboards, sing to the rafters, dance on their instruments and create music completely on their own. The Pockets return to their Chicago hometown for this special evening of music filled with critically acclaimed originals and holiday favorites. Soulful Ohio songwriter Nate Jones opens. One of America's premiere roots rock acts, FrEddy Jones Band (and no, none of the members are actually named FrEddy Jones) was founded by guitarists and singer/songwriters Marty Lloyd and Wayne Healy. The band is best known for its number-one hits "In A Daydream" and "Take The Time." The band lineup is led B. Lloyd, joined by bassist Rich Ross (Josh Gracin, Phil Vassar, The Samples), guitarist Dave Preston (Matt Morris, Justin Timberlake) and former Matchbox 20 drummer Ryan MacMillan. $1 from every ticket purchased will be donated to Folds of Honor.

Soul/R&B musician Eric Benét is dedicated to crafting authentic music that engages the soul. For example, the singer-songwriter's latest top 5 Urban AC single, "Sunshine," is a backdrop for Benét's heartfelt reflections on a relationship that has lost its spark. The hit has since sparked a remix version featuring Tamia-the singer's memorable duet partner from his career breakthrough hit, 1999's "Spend My Life with You." A limited number of VIP Meet& Greet tickets are available for $65, tickets to the show not included.

City Winery also announces Lucy Wainwright Roche opens for Loudon Wainwright III on Nov. 15.

All City Winery events are open to all ages and start at 8 p.m., unless noted.

Opened in 2012, City Winery Chicago is a fully operational winery, restaurant with outdoor patio, concert hall and private event space located in the heart of the West Loop at 1200 W.
