Eastern Blok Plays Branded Saloon 8/10

Serbian classical guitar virtuoso Goran Ivanovic and his band, Eastern Blok, will interpret their classic Balkan melodies at Brooklyn's Branded Saloon (603 Vanderbilt Avenue) on Wednesday, Tuesday August 10th at 9:00 PM. The Chicago-based band will perform as part of the innovative Backroom Deal @ Branded Saloon series. Admission is $10.
Eastern Blok, which includes saxophonist Doug Rosenberg, bassist Matt Ulery and percussionist Michael Caskey, combine traditional Balkan folk music with Latin, flamenco and klezmer elements, in addition to European classical influences and American jazz.
