Foothills Pops: From Broadway to Hollywood! brings the Western Piedmont Symphony, led by Music Director Matthew Troy, to the J.E. Broyhill Civic Center in Lenoir for an evening of music from stage and screen, including selections from The Sound of Music, Carousel, Breakfast at Tiffany's, and Grease. Soprano Haley Sicking, whose career has taken her to Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and stages across the United States and internationally, joins the orchestra as featured soloist. The program also includes the world premiere of Shine, a new work written for this performance by North Carolina-based composer Michael Glasgow.
