Opera Saratoga presents La Vie parisienne, composed by Jacques Offenbach with a libretto by Henri Meilhac and Ludovic Halévy, along with a new book by Tim Drucker. This comedic tale, set in the vibrant atmosphere of Second Empire Paris, follows bachelors Gardefeu and Bobinet, played by Randy Ho and Michael J. Hawk, as they navigate love and identity while attempting to win over a Swedish Baroness, leading to a series of humorous escapades. Directed by Mary Birnbaum and featuring a diverse cast, this production combines catchy tunes and lively performances that capture the essence of Parisian culture and romance. The opera will be performed at Universal Preservation Hall.
