Beware who you invite into your home.
Bill and Ellen Bunting are struggling to make ends meet when a mysterious lodger appears to be the answer to their financial troubles. However, the timing of the lodger’s arrival is eerily suspicious when a series of murders indicate a serial killer is on the loose. As Bill becomes a suspect in the eyes of policewoman Joannie, Ellen’s best friend, Ellen begins to look closer at the stranger living under her roof. Can Ellen get to the truth before more young women fall victim, and what will she do once she finds out who the killer truly is?
Inspired by Alfred Hitchcock’s famous silent thriller of the same name, renowned Canadian novelist Susie Moloney and award-winning playwright Vern Thiessen reanimate this classic suspense into a modern and stunning world premiere.

Is there parking?
The Palliser Parkade
The Palliser Parkade is in the same building as Vertigo Theatre. It is a well-lit, large lot (1300 stalls) and is monitored by security. You can enter heading East off 9th Avenue SW into the alley between the Palliser Hotel and the Tower Centre building OR you can enter heading EAST or WEST off 10th Avenue SW (behind the Calgary Tower). The Parkade is fully wheelchair accessible, with ramps and elevators on all levels.

Is the theatre accessible?
Yes. The theatre is located on street level with elevators to the Palliser Parkade. Once you are in the theatre lobby there is an elevator (located just inside the front doors on the left hand side) which can take you to the mezzanine level or the lower level depending on where your seats are located. There are stairs in the theatre. Rows F,G, H,J and R require less stair maneuvering.
Wheelchair seating is available on request with notice. Please contact our ticket office at 403-221-3708 if you need to book these seats.
There is one wheelchair accessible stall in each of the general bathrooms in the lower lobby. There is also an individual bathroom that has disability access on both the mezzanine level and lower level.
Ushers are available to assist. They will check your tickets and can help you find your seats.
What is the late seating policy?
The Director of each production designates moments in the show when seating latecomers will cause the least amount of distraction for actors and audience members. Should you arrive late or leave the theatre during the performance, our Patron Services Manager will reseat you at one of these breaks when it is safe to do so and is only able to seat you at the back of the theatre.
