Plant Of The People is a theatrical concert featuring MC Baba Israel as Magical Mystical MC, Grace Galu as Sativa Diva, and Duv as Hipster Trickster, with projection designs by Tony-nominated David Bengali. The show tells stories of prohibition and celebrates the heroes, artists and activists at the forefront of the resistance and public education that led to legalization of cannabis. Special guest Martin A. Lee, whose book Smoke Signals inspired the show, will share his perspectives on legalization and criminalization under the theme Smoke & Mirrors. The performance features a groove-oriented band and Afro-diasporic Hip Hop dancers.
