Guitarist and vocalist Camila Meza brings her band to Birdland for two nights, drawing from jazz, pop, rock, and world music traditions. The New York Times has praised her appealing combination of lightness and depth, her bright clear voice, and her first-rate band. Meza was chosen by Pat Metheny to serve as Musical Director for his NEA Jazz Masters induction at the Kennedy Center in 2018, and has performed with Fabian Almazan, Aaron Goldberg, Sachal Vasandani, and Paquito D'Rivera. Her 2025 album Portal was released on Ground UP Music.
