Determined record chasers are gearing up to wow viewers and secure a place in the record books when truTV's hit series Guinness World Records(R) Unleashed returns this fall with all new episodes, beginning Thursday, Nov. 7, at 8 p.m. (ET/PT). Hosted by Dan Cortese (Veronica's Closet, Surviving Suburbia, MTV Sports), the series features daring and fearless record hopefuls as they attempt to secure their place in history by breaking some truly outrageous world records.

For years, GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS have delighted, astonished and amazed readers with its book of incredible achievements. Now in Guinness World Records Unleashed, the curtain is drawn back to reveal what really goes on when the most unbelievable, jaw-dropping records are attempted. Each attempt is evaluated by GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS officials, who have the final say over whether a record is broken.

In addition to host Dan Cortese, Guinness World Records Unleashed features Stuart Claxton, the show's primary GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS adjudicator. Liz Smith, also of GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS, and comedian Zach Selwyn (Greek, Battleship) provides commentary on the action.

Record Chasers

Since the premiere of Guinness World Records Unleashed this past February, a total of 42 amazing record attempts were made, with 20 successes, 21 failures and one tie. Among the successes were new records for the Highest shallow dive; Most drink can lids torn off with the teeth in one minute; Most consecutive backflips on a pogo stick; Highest jump into marshmallows; Most eggs crushed with the head in one minute; and Most sausages swallowed in one minute.

The following is a list of record chasers featured in the first two new episodes of Guinness World Records Unleashed set to air this November:

Thursday, Nov. 7, at 8 p.m. (ET/PT)
Trisha - Fastest talker - Actress, Model & Internet Personality, Los Angeles, Calif.
Paul - Most jumps on a trampoline grabbing a bar - Electrical Engineer, Redford, Mich.
Bria - Most skips with one leg behind the head in one minute - Gym Receptionist, Hollywood, Calif.
Joel - Most kicks to the head in one minute (self) - Student, Belleville, Mich.
Ron - Highest dunk of a doughnut by a bungee jumper - Professional Bungee Jumper, Los Angeles, Calif.

Thursday, Nov. 14, at 8 p.m. (ET/PT)
Lance - Most consecutive somersaults underwater on one breath - Freediver, Los Angeles, Calif.
Brandon - Fastest time to ignite five targets by squirting milk from the eye - Madison, Wisc.
Lars - Most paintballs caught in two minutes - Payment Processor, Newark, Delaware
Brittany - Longest duration resisting a jet engine stream (Outdoor) - Teacher, Marlborough, Mass.

Other upcoming episodes of Guinness World Records Unleashed will tackle such records as the Fastest time running through 10 locked and burning doors; Highest bungee jump ending with a dunk of a donut; Longest moving quad bike jump; Most backflips on a water flyboard; and Greatest height achieved after Being launched from a cannon.

Guinness World Records Unleashed Ratings & Production Info

Guinness World Records Unleashed premiered on truTV in February. The series averaged more than 1.3 million viewers for its first six episodes and ranked as one of ad-supported cable's Top 3 programs in the Thursday 8 p.m. timeslot with key adult and male demos. It was also cable's #1 unscripted entertainment program in the timeslot with men 18-49 and adults 18-34. In addition, the series scored strong, double-digit growth for its timeslot and yielded a median age of only 34, seven years younger than the same time period last year.

Guinness World Records Unleashed is executive-produced by High Noon Entertainment's Jim Berger, Burt Kearns and Fred Birckhead. For GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS, Rob Molloy is executive producer. The one-hour series is Being produced for truTV by High Noon Entertainment (Tough Love, Cake Boss, Hurricane Hunters).
