Combate Americas is the first Spanish language MMA competition reality series created by Campbell McLaren, a co-founder of the UFC and the CEO of Combate Americas, and BMP Latin, the Hispanic division of Bunim/Murray Productions, and producers of The Real World, Project Runway and Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

In the final episode viewers saw Featherweights Oscar Valdez of Batesville, AR and Erick May Leon of Tijuana, MXFace Off in the first match where their strength and endurance were tested and one bested. The Fighters employ a mix of wrestling and jiu-jitsu in a fight that undoubtedly had the audience on the edge of their seats. Leon, whose superior wrestling experience dominated Valdez won by unanimous decision.

The final fight was a culmination of the fiercest rivalry of the season: Welterweights JC Llamas of Bakersfield, CA and Danny Morales of Chicago, IL. The tension was at an all-time high as these fighters took their months of clashing and squaring off in challenges into the ring. Putting their skills to the test, the fight found Danny tapping into his training to adapt to JC's "unorthodox" ways of fighting. An adrenaline-filled fight, that was technical and erupted in a bloody brawl had Morales end up winning in a close decision.

In the first two fights of the finale, Mission Texas' own Ricky "El Gallero" Palacios faced off against last minute replacement Matt Wagy in a featherweight match in which Ricky showed true heart, after hurting his leg, coming back for a stunning TKO in the second round. In the other Welterweight battle of the finale Miami's own Alan "The Rebel" Arzeno faced street fighting sensation Rene "Level" Martinez in a true hand to hand thriller where Arzeno battered Martinez into a second round TKO.
