Next week, comedian Kathy Griffin begins her new gig as the host of E!'s FASHION POLICE, taking over for the late Joan Rivers, who had hosted the show since it premiered in 2010.

The comic, a close friend of Rivers, stopped by this morning's TODAY to tell Savannah Guthrie that she "absolutely left big shoes to fill. And I'm bringing my own slippers." She went on to share, "I will continue, if nothing else, in her fearless style of taking no prisoners. But I'm a different human being. I'm more improvisational, and I don't know what I'm going to say."
