Monday's episode of ABC's DANCING WITH THE STARS began with an emotional moment as hosts Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke Charvet took time out to pay their respects to the victims of the Boston bombings. It was a tough night for the dancers to compete, but they all seemed to be inspired by the old adage, 'the show must go on.' Check out highlights from last night's show below!

The remaining couples were assigned to dance head to head against a professional couple. The evening saw the return of professional dancer Maskim Chmerkovskiy, who had been taking a break from the competition this season.

About the Show:

Dancing with the Stars and Dancing with the Stars: The Results Show returned for a 16th season with a brand new cast, great dancing, and musical performances from top recording artists. The show also welcomes the return of the "AT&T Spotlight Performance," which features and celebrates people whose lives have been changed forever by dance.

This season's dynamic lineup of stars includes a country music legend, a figure skating champion, a boxing dynamo, an Olympic Gold medalist and the youngest contestant to ever compete on the show ABC MONDAYS 8|7c and TUESDAY 9|8c.

Hosted by Tom Bergeron (America's Funniest Home Videos) and Brooke Burke-Charvet (Dancing with the Stars Season 7 champion), the celebrities perform choreographed dance routines which will be judged by renowned ballroom judge Len Goodman and dancer/choreographers Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba.
