Tatiana Maslany Joins Matthew Rhys In HBO Series PERRY MASON

According to Variety, Tatiana Maslany is set to join Matthew Rhys in the forthcoming HBO series PERRY MASON. Variety shares "Maslany will play Sister Alice, the leader of the Radiant Assembly of God, preaching three sermons a day to a hungry congregation and a radio audience that spans the country. An entertainer, politician, God's conduit to the City of Angels, Sister Alice wields great power when she speaks, and plans to use it in ways only she can know."

Variety continues to share, ""Perry Mason" was ordered to series back in March. Rhys stars as the title character. Based on characters created by Erle Stanley Gardner, the limited series follows the origins of American fiction's most legendary criminal defense lawyer (Rhys). When a child kidnapping case breaks down his door, Mason's RELENTLESS PURSUIT of the truth reveals a fractured city and just maybe, a pathway to redemption for himself."

Tatiana Maslany made her Broadway debut in the role of "Diana Christensen" in NETWORK. Maslany recently made her New York stage debut in the Second Stage Theater production of Tracy Letts's Mary Page Marlowe Off-Broadway. Her starring role in the hit BBC America series "Orphan Black" has earned her three Emmy Nominations and her first Emmy Award, a Golden Globe Award nomination and a Critic's Choice Award. She can be seen in the upcoming film Destroyer opposite Nicole Kidman, currently premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival, with a theatrical release date set for December 25, 2018.
