Offering unprecedented access to an iconic rock band, HISTORY OF THE EAGLES will air on SHO2 tonight, January 19 at 8:00 PM ET/PT and will return to Showtime Thursday, January 21 at 7:55 PM ET/PT and Saturday, January 23 at 6:00 PM ET/PT. Produced by Academy Award® winner Alex Gibney, the two part special, shown it is entirety on all three airings, focuses on the band its musical legacy.

Directed by Allison Ellwood, HISTORY OF THE EAGLES features archival material, concert footage and never-before-seen home movies of one of America's most enduring and truly defining bands. Interviews with the band members as well as key figures of the 1970 music scene highlight the film which also includes personal memorabilia and video montages from their concert tours. HISTORY OF THE EAGLES originally aired on Showtime in February 2013 after a successful premiere at the Sundance Film Festival.

The Eagles have sold more than 120 million albums worldwide, earned five No. 1 U.S. singles and six GRAMMY® Awards. Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975 is the best-selling album of all time, exceeding sales of 29 million units. The band's Hotel California and Eagles Greatest Hits, Vol. 2 have sold more than 16 million and 11 million albums, respectively. The Eagles were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.
