Reese Witherspoon's Hello Sunshine Partners With Rooster Teeth To Launch Female-Centered Podcast Network

Hello Sunshine, Reese Witherspoon's media company, has exclusively partnered with Rooster Teeth to power their network of female-centric podcasts, The Beam. Under this partnership, Hello Sunshine plans to expand its slate of podcast programming, with additional original podcasts and a tightly curated set of existing female-centric podcasts. Rooster Teeth's podcast sales division, The Roost, will offer The Beam strategic sales representation and support.

Hello Sunshine launched onto the podcast scene earlier this year with "How It Is" and today announced "My Best Breakup," a witty, revealing half-hour show hosted by Maeve Higgins featuring interviews with celebrities, comedians, writers and more about the breakups that transformed their lives, from leaving relationships to calling it quits with social media. "How It Is" Season 2 and "My Best Break Up" will launch in October and be available on all major podcast listening platforms.

"How It Is" is anchored by powerful, personal stories told by a diverse group of high-profile women - celebrities, activists and ordinary people with extraordinary insight - claiming their power by telling their stories. Season 2 of "How It Is" is hosted by actress, author, and activist Diane Guerrero and produced by Witherspoon.

As a division of Rooster Teeth, The Roost brings the internet's favorite personality-driven podcasts closer to the audiences and brands that understand them best, offering a more diverse range of opportunities across its global business offerings including licensing, merchandise, live events, original series, and film productions. The Roost is home to some of the most popular personality-driven programs today, including The H3 Podcast, The Last Podcast on the Left, flagship programming from award winning comedy studio JASH (Getting Doug With High), Tiny Meat Gang (hosted by Cody Ko) and ex-Sourcefed-hosted The Valleyfolk podcasts along with the award-winning Rooster Teeth Podcast, Always Open and other Rooster Teeth podcasts. The Roost offers direct response advertising services as well as opportunities to create custom brand experiences, having worked with global brands like GE, Samsung, Verizon, Pizza Hut, Toyota, AT&T, Quip, Smirnoff Vodka and MeUndies.

Rooster Teeth is part of Otter Media, a WarnerMedia Company. Otter Media also holds a minority stake in Hello Sunshine.

"Rooster Teeth's track record in effectively connecting brands with specific audiences makes them our perfect partner as we work together to expand the reach and influence of original and distinctive female voices in podcasting," said Sarah Harden, CEO of Hello Sunshine.

"It is a great privilege for us to welcome Hello Sunshine to The Roost network of creators," said Alan Abdine, SVP of Business Development at Rooster Teeth. "Their content is powerful, personal, vital, and engaging, and we can't wait to support their continued growth and evolution."
