'Nightline' Bests 'Letterman' for 13th Consecutive Week

For the thirteenth consecutive week, ABC News "Nightline" has outperformed CBS' "Late Show with David Letterman" among Total Viewers, according to Nielsen Media Research. The last time this happened was in 2000. For the week of July 5, 2010, "Nightline" was the number two program among A25-54, A18-49 and Total Viewers. Week to week, "Nightline" grew +7% among A25-54, +12% among A18-49 and +1% among Total Viewers. Season to date, "Nightline" posted 3.79 million Total Viewers, just 10,000 viewers away from first place.

*Note: Due to the July 4tth holiday, Monday's ratings for ABC, CBS and NBC are excluded from the weekly average. "Letterman" aired repeats last week.

ABC News' "Nightline" is anchored by Cynthia McFadden, Terry Moran and Martin Bashir. John Donvan and Vicki Mabrey are correspondents. James Goldston is the executive producer. The program airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m., ET on the ABC Television Network.
