FX has released a new teaser for THE SHARDS, titled "You Think You'll Live Forever," built around a chilling piece of advice: keep your enemies closer. The brief clip continues the show's promotional rollout, leaning into the tension and suspicion simmering beneath its glamorous 1980s setting rather than dwelling on cast interviews or dialogue-heavy scenes.
THE SHARDS is executive produced by Ryan Murphy and adapted from the bestselling novel by Bret Easton Ellis. The series is set in 1980s Los Angeles and follows a group of privileged high school seniors at an elite prep school as they navigate identity, sex, jealousy and obsession, with something more sinister lurking beneath the surface of their insulated world.
The teaser arrives as part of an expanding press push for the series, which has already included multiple trailers, a first look at the cast and creators, and an official music video setting the era's mood. Cast members have also appeared on GOOD MORNING AMERICA to discuss recreating the look and feel of the decade and to trade personal reveals in a game segment.
The new footage follows a previous trailer that warned real friends stab you in the front, continuing the series' focus on the fractures forming among its central group of teenagers as secrets and suspicion take hold ahead of the show's premiere on FX and Hulu.
