NBC's SVU & CHICAGO P.D. Win Slots in Key Demo & Total Viewers

NBC wins Wednesday in total viewers with slot victories for "Law & Order: SVU" and "Chicago P.D."
"Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (1.8/6 in 18-49, 7.2 million viewers overall from 9-10 p.m. ET) wins the time period among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 and total viewers and is up +6% versus its previous first-run telecast (1.8 vs. 1.7 on Jan. 20) and +5% in total viewers (7.249 million vs. 6.908 million) and increases by +12% from half-hour to half-hour in 18-49 (1.7 to 1.9) and grows in every other key measure.

Builds on last night's lead-in by +64% in 18-49 and will add substantial viewership via time-shifting and VOD - "Law & Order: SVU" has grown by +69% in 18-49 rating (from a 1.68 to a 2.84) and 3.0 million viewers overall (7.2 million to 10.2 million) going from L+SD to L+7.

"Chicago P.D." (1.7/6 in 18-49, 7.2 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) grows +13% versus its prior original (1.7 vs. 1.5 on Jan. 20) and +10% in total viewers (7.169 million vs. 6.518 million) and wins the time period among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49 and all other key measures.

Has now finished #1 or tied for #1 in 18-49 versus the time period's regular ABC and CBS drama competition with its last 28 regular-slot originals, dating back to November 2014 and will add significant viewership via time-shifting and VOD -- "Chicago P.D." has increased by +68% in 18-49 rating (from a 1.57 to a 2.64) and 3.4 million viewers overall (6.8 million to 10.2 million) going from L+SD to L+7.

"The Mysteries of Laura" (1.1/4 in 18-49, 6.8 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) grows +10% versus the same night last year in 18-49 (1.1 vs. 1.0 on Feb. 4, 2015) and by +7% in total viewers (6.795 million vs. 6.365 milliion).

Will add significant viewership via time-shifting and VOD -- "Laura" has increased by +39% this season in 18-49 rating (from a 1.12 to a 1.55) and 1.8 million viewers overall (7.1 million to 8.9 million) going from L+SD to L+7.

Upscale: "Laura" is delivering a solidly upscale audience, indexing at a 109 among adults 18-49 living in homes with $100K+ incomes.

Estimates After 7 Days of Time-Shifting and Alt-Platform Viewing:

"The Mysteries of Laura," 1.6 rating in 18-49, 8.84 million viewers overall.

"Law & Order: SVU," 3.2, 10.88 million.

"Chicago P.D.," 3.0, 11.31 million.

In Late-Night Metered Markets Wednesday Night:

· In adult 18-49 rating in the local people meters, Fallon (0.9) equaled the combined results of CBS's "Late Show with Stephen Colbert" (0.4) and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" (0.5).

· In 18-49 in the local people meters, Meyers (0.5) beat Colbert (0.4) and tied Kimmel (0.5), despite Meyers' later start time.

· In 18-49, Carson Daly's encore (0.3) beat Corden (0.2), despite starting an hour later, and topped "Nightline" (0.3), despite starting 90 minutes later.


· Fallon's guests Wednesday night included Martin Scorsese, Gillian Jacobs and musical guest The Chainsmokers.

· Meyers' guests Wednesday included Alan Cumming, Matt Harvey and Alexander Chee.

· Daly's guests Wednesday night included Ron Perlman, Goodnight Mommy and musical guest Ratatat (encore).


· In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 2.6/7; "Late Show with Stephen Colbert," 2.0/5; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 2.0/5.


· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.9/5; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.5/3.


· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.2/4 in metered-market households and a 0.2/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, "Late Night with Seth Meyers" (1.2/4 in metered-market households) beat CBS's "Late Late Show" (0.9/3). In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, "Late Night" (0.5/4 in 18-49) topped "Late Late Show" (0.2/2).

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.8/3 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.3/3 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.
