NBC's New Reality Series GET OUT ALIVE is Ratings Winner

From 8-9 p.m. ET, "American Ninja Warrior" (1.6 rating, 5 share in adults 18-49, 5.0 million viewers overall) is up 7% versus last week's 1.5 rating in this hour in 18-49 and up 9% versus the 4.639 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. last week. For its full two-hour 8-10 p.m. duration last week, "ANW" averaged a 1.7/5 in 18-49 and 5.041 million viewers overall, making this week's 8-9 p.m. 5.045 million in viewers overall a slight increase despite the shorter 8-9 p.m. time slot this week.
Versus the same night last year, "American Ninja Warrior" is up 14% in 18-49 rating (1.6 vs. 1.4 from 9-10 p.m. on July 9, 2012) and up 26% in total viewers (5.045 million vs. 3.993 million). In the time period, "American Ninja Warrior" is #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in all key adult-male demos (men 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54) and #2 in adults 18-49. "ANW" grew by 21% from its first half-hour to its second in 18-49 (to a 1.7 from a 1.4) and by 9% in total viewers (5.3 million vs. 4.8 million). From 9-10 p.m. ET, the debut of "Get Out Alive with Bear Grylls" (1.4/4 in 18-49, 4.2 million viewers overall) is #2 in the slot among ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX in adults 18-49 and #1 among those networks in all key adult-male demos. Among new Reality Show debuts this summer on ABC, CBS, NBC & Fox, "Get Out Alive with Bear Grylls" (1.4) has the #1 debut rating in adults 18-49 (excludes the special preview of "The Winner Is..." 1.8 following "The Voice" on June 10).In Late-Night Metered Markets Monday night: In Nielsen's 56 metered markets, household results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 2.2/6; CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman," 2.4/6; and ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 1.8/5. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," 0.8/4; "Late Show," 0.6/3 with an encore; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.6/3.
